On Track Summer Search
Don’t let the summer waste away! Sign
up for OTCC’s ON TRACK SUMMER SEARCH six week summer seminar.
The average American college
student changes their major 3 times
during their college career. The average
American adult changes careers 7 times during the course of their lifetime. With all these changes, how is it possible
to know which major to choose and still graduate on time?
Summer Search is dedicated to helping students tap into their individual
strengths and passions so that they can start identifying appropriate majors early
in their college career. Each class
students will meet professionals and professors from a wide variety of careers and
majors to get an insiders view of the reality of certain majors, jobs, and their
competitiveness.
Learn from the professionals what it takes to get into competitive careers, find
out which major you’ll perform the best in, and create a realistic roadmap for college
to put you on the right track to a successful future.
This course is not just for students that are undecided but also for those
who have an idea of their major and career choice, but are unsure of how to succeed
and make the most of their college experience.
This course also includes
a summer long community service project to enhance a student’s
resume, strengthen
teambuilding skills, and increase awareness and understanding of diverse community
needs. Students
who register by May 31st and are existing OTCC clients are eligible to participate
in a career specific service project or internship. If you are not currently
an OTCC client you must sign up for an in person interview prior to May 31st to
be eligible for a career specific service project or internship.
