About Our Staff
On Track College Coaching is lead by founder Heather Jenks.
Heather received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from
Western
Washington
University
and her Master of Education in Student Development Administration
from
Seattle University
. She is a member of the Pacific Northwest
Association of College Admission Counselors and the Higher Education Consultants
Association. Unlike many college admissions
advisors, Heathers career actually began working in higher education.
She has worked at private and public universities for the past six years in the offices of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student Success, PreMajor Advising,
New Student Programs, Residence Life, and Student Activities.
Heather was inspired to expand her work to high school students to help them
avoid some of the pitfalls in college.
Her inspiration was further spurred by advising her own siblings as they started
their
college search and application process that resulted in her brother being
accepted to
Central
Washington
University
and her student to tier one,
Texas Christian University
. To ensure that her students also
get the most up to date and accurate information, Heather maintains an extensive
professional network with college faculty and staff at public and private universities.
The On Track Philosophy
Our guiding principal is to develop the whole student while they are on their pursuit
of a college education. The college
admissions process is only the first obstacle to completing a college degree and
students must be well prepare to continue to remove future obstacles along the road
to graduating and starting their professional career.
That is why On Track College Coaching not only helps students and parents
understand and complete the admissions process, but
we prepare students for their
transition into college life and provide them with additional knowledge and resources
to help them succeed in making the most of their college education in a rewarding
and timely manner.
